GW16FQ0 u-blox ZEDF9 High-Precision GNSS/GPS FSA
High-Precision GNSS Positioning for Embedded and Industrial Systems
The GW16FQ1 High-Precision GNSS Flexible Socket Adapter (FSA) integrates the proven u-blox ZED-F9P platform to deliver centimeter-level positioning for embedded and industrial systems. Designed for Gateworks VeniceFLEX and Catalina single board computers, the module enables high-accuracy navigation, timing, and asset tracking without requiring external GNSS hardware integration.
Powered by the multi-band RTK-capable ZED-F9P receiver, the adapter supports simultaneous multi-constellation GNSS tracking and real-time kinematic (RTK) corrections for precise positioning performance in demanding environments.
The FSA architecture allows GNSS functionality to be integrated directly into Gateworks SBC platforms, simplifying system design while maintaining flexibility for future wireless or expansion options.

The GW16FQ0 is a high-precision GPS FSA card featuring the u-blox ZED-F9P that is designed to provide precise positioning to applications utilizing Gateworks VeniceFLEX and Catalina single board computers.
It provides centimeter-level (<2cm) accuracy (see Note 1) via GNSS positioning with concurrent reception of GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou. A MMCX antenna port allows for an external antenna. USB signaling is used on the FSA connector to communicate with the host processor. Two UART headers are available for correction data via serial. A time pulse output header provides PPS signaling. To take advantage of faster acquisition times, a rechargeable 3.3V lithium battery is included. For mobile applications, it provides a high update rate. Multi-band Real-time kinematic (RTK) technology provides fast convergence times and reliable performance. The module supports both base and rover operations for RTK applications.
Differential GNSS devices such as the GW16FQ0 are starting to replace survey-grade equipment. Other radio cards such as the Gateworks GW16130 Iridium Satellite Modem or GW16132 CAT-M1 modem can provide communication links for the augmentation data. The GW16FQ0 enables precision navigation and automation of moving machinery in industrial applications such as agriculture, mining, and field mapping.
Recommended Antenna: u-blox ANN-MB-00 Multi-band active GNSS antenna
It is *not* recommended to use the Gateworks GW10044 antenna. This is for other GPS chipsets.
Visit the GW161FQ0 Software Wiki for software information.
Note 1: Centimeter level accuracy requires a correction service. More information here
*Disclaimer: This card has only been tested on Gateworks Single Board Computers. Gateworks only provides support when used on a Gateworks SBC.*
