The GW1614x is a family of Mini-PCIe to M.2 Adapters. Embedded modems come in many form factors, including Mini-PCIe and M.2. These adapters allow M.2 B-Key Cellular Modem cards to be plugged into a Mini-PCIe slot on a Gateworks Single Board Computer. The adapters feature dual Nano SIM slots for redundancy and switching between networks. Cellular modems typically face pin conflicts with standard specifications, but these adapters only pass through the minimum required signalling to avoid potential conflicts. This allows for a faster integration time and less conflicts. The adapters come in different variants for different signalling. The GW16140 is used for modems that only utilize USB 2.0 signals. The GW16141 is typically used for higher bandwidth modems that require USB 3.0 signalling. Please consult the SBC Mini-PCIe slots compatibility for USB 2.0 or 3.0 support.
