The GW16162 is a family of end device pre-certified cellular modems in the M.2 form factor designed to provide cellular wireless communication to Gateworks Single Board Computers. The cellular modem is targeted towards networking and Internet of Things (IoT) applications. The GW16162 features a Telit CMB100 cellular module that is available in several different variations, including LTE CAT4, 5G NR RedCap, LTE CATM1/NB2 and LTE CAT1 BIS. This family of modems are end-device-certified with Verizon and AT&T. This provides a quick time to market cellular solutions and eliminates the need to take the device through expensive cellular PTCRB testing. The modems feature worldwide capabilities, with RED/GCF (Europe) and FCC/IC certifications. An onboard nanoSIM (4FF) slot is used on the module for SIM support. The Gateworks Single Board Computer communicates to the module using USB 2.0 signaling which is supported on M.2 B-Key connector interfaces. Compatible with the Gateworks VeniceFLEX SBC family and other Gateworks SBCs with an M.2 adapter. Standard u.FL antenna connectors are used on the module for cellular connectivity and GPS/GNSS connectivity. Antenna and cables are sold separately. Supported in the Gateworks Linux BSPs with standard IP framework.
