The GW16157 is a audio expansion board that connects to the MIPI header on Gateworks Venice SBCs. The board features a NXP SGTL5000 audio codec which provides a microphone input. There is a Texas Instruments TPA3110D2 audio amplifier for mono speaker output which supplies 15W @ 4 ohm with 10% THD. The board requires an external 8-26VDC supply voltage. Standard Linux commands and software can be used for recording and playing audio.
