Ordering Options

The GW5220 is based off the GW5200 and features the Freescale™ i.MX6 Dual Core ARM® Cortex™-A9 SoC processor operating at 800MHz, 512Mbyte of DDR3 DRAM, and 256Mbytes of System Flash. Mini-PCIe expansion sockets support a combination of 802.11ac/b/g/n WiFi radios, 4G WiMAX radios, 3G CDMA/GSM cellular modems and other PCI Express peripherals. These other peripherals include the GW16126 LTE CATM1 Cellular card, GW16122 Sub-1GHz radio, GW16130 Iridium Satellite Modem or LoRA radio. One Mini-PCIe socket supports both Mini-PCIe and USB signaling and the other Mini-PCIe socket supports only USB signaling. Due to this configuration, a PCIe switch is not used and thus the overall board cost is decreased compared to the GW5200.  A single Ethernet port offers high speed wired connectivity. The analog composite/component video input and HDMI & LVDS output extend the GW5220 into wireless video applications. The Gateworks System Controller provides embedded features such as real time clock, voltage and temperature monitor, serial EEPROM, programmable pushbutton switch, tamper switch, and advanced power management with programmable board shut-down and wake-up for remote sensor applications. A wide-range DC input power supply provides up to 30W to the Mini-PCIe sockets for supporting the latest high-power radios. Power is applied through a dedicated barrel jack or an Ethernet jack in a Power over Ethernet architecture. An ordering option replaces one Mini-PCIe socket with an expansion connector for adding peripherals such as Mini-PCIe sockets, legacy Mini-PCI sockets, additional GbE Ethernet ports, and GbE Ethernet Fiber ports. OpenWrt, OpenEmbedded/Yocto, and Andriod are supported. The GW5220 has a small form factor to fit into nearly all rugged and industrial embedded applications that require two Mini-PCIe slots. This SBC is made in the USA.  Note: GW5220 is nearly identical to the GW5200 but only supports PCIe signalling on one MIni-PCIe slot and features SPI. Read more here. For a similar board with PCIe signalling to both Mini-PCIe slots, see the GW5200.
