Empowering Industrial Innovation: Gateworks and NXP Semiconductors

Gateworks and NXP are aligned and committed to advancing technology for rugged industrial applications and ensuring reliability, performance, and innovation.

Gateworks has long recognized the importance of integrating top-tier components into products. By partnering with NXP, Gateworks can leverage advanced semiconductor technologies crucial to developing robust SBCs capable of operating under demanding conditions. This partnership allows Gateworks to continue providing high-quality, durable computing solutions that meet the rigorous standards required in extreme environments.

Gateworks was invited to participate in NXP’s DFAE (Distribution Field Application Engineer) Training and Expo held in Austin, Texas. This invitational provided a valuable opportunity to engage with NXP’s DFAEs and discuss the latest developments in the NXP ecosystem.

From i.MX 8M Mini and Plus NXP Venice single board computers to our upcoming generation of i.MX 95 single board computers, to our Silex WiFi 6 Dev Kit, there was plenty to talk about.

Next up is NXP’s Tech Day in Chicago, Illinois. This will be a great event to explore technologies, share best practices and network with other industry leaders and partners. The NXP Technology Days program offers free training sessions to address technical questions through workshops and lectures.

Topics Include: Choosing the Right i.MX Processors, Embedded AI/ML on NXP MCU, Battery Energy Stationary Storage (BESS) and more.

Where: Hyatt Regency Schaumburg, 1800 E Golf Rd, Schaumburg, IL 60173, Chicago, IL, USA

Gateworks expanded the Venice family of SBCs by offering models with NXP’s i.MX 8M Mini and i.MX 8M Plus processors. These processors excel in multimedia processing, machine learning, and industrial IoT applications.

The i.MX 8M Mini combines a quad-core Cortex-A53 CPU and Cortex-M4 co-processor for a balance of performance and power efficiency suitable for industrial applications. The i.MX 8M Plus enhances AI capabilities with a Neural Processing Unit (NPU) and features for improved video processing and edge computing. The next generation will feature NXP’s i.MX 95 processors and promise further advancements in performance and capabilities.

The partnership between Gateworks and NXP Semiconductors highlights a commitment to advancing industrial computing technologies. NXP DFAE Trainings and NXP Tech Days are a great opportunity to grow and connect with leaders and partners in the NXP ecosystem.
