Ventana GW5200 Rugged & Industrial Single Board Computer

The GW5200 is a member of the Gateworks 5th generation Ventana family of rugged and industrial single board computers (SBCs) targeted for a wide range of indoor and outdoor applications. This SBC features a single ethernet port, two Mini-PCIe slots, HDMI & LVDS video output and more to create a small form factor multimedia platform.

The GW5200 features the NXP™ i.MX6 Dual Core ARM® Cortex™ -A9 SoC processor operating at 800MHz,  512 Mbyte of DDR3-1066 DRAM, and 256 Mbytes of System Flash. Peripherals include two Mini-PCIe sockets capable of supporting any combination of 802.11 ac/b/g/n WiFi radios, 4G WiMAX radios, 3G CDMA/GSM cellular modems, and other PCI Express peripherals. Other peripherals include the GW16126 LTE CATM1 Cellular card, GW16122 Sub-1GHz radio, GW16130 Iridium Satellite Modem or LoRA radio.  A single Gigabit Ethernet port provides wired high speed connectivity. Multiple video and audio interfaces include HDMI output, LVDS LCD output, analog video input, analog audio input and output and onboard VPU/GPU/IPU hardware blocks. A wide-range DC input power supply provides up to 30W of power to the Mini-PCIe sockets for supporting the latest high-power radios. The Gateworks System Controller provides embedded features such as real time clock, voltage and temperature monitor, management with programmable board shut-down and wake-up for remote sensor applications. Power is applied through a dedicated barrel jack connector or the Ethernet jack in a passive power over Ethernet or an optional 802.3af(1) compatible architecture. OpenWrt, Android, OpenEmbedded Linux and Windows Embedded Compact 7 (WEC7) board support packages are included. The rugged and industrial design allows for use in military, outdoor mining, space and other extreme environments. This product is Made in the USA. For a lower cost alternative, the GW5220 only has PCIe signalling to one Mini-PCIe slot.
