Machine Operator

GATEWORKS CORPORATION, is looking for a smart, motivated MACHINE OPERATOR to perform automated assembly of electronic circuit boards.

Duties include operating surface mount and through-hole assembly equipment, including inserting electronic components, for the assembly of printed circuit boards (PCB). Uses either a manual, semi-automatic or automatic solder paste stencil machine; loading components onto a pick and place machine; operating the re-flow oven; loading proper programs into machine; and performing quality inspections at each stage to ensure product is built per customer specifications, company specifications and industry standards. Also includes hand placement and component modifications such as cutting of leads, prepping, and use of hand-tools, etc. Must communicate with appropriate personnel to identify and resolve assembly issues. Perform light and routine maintenance tasks.

This position requires a high school diploma. Formal education in manufacturing and production processes is preferred, and background in electronics, EMS is preferred. Bring your enthusiasm and motivation to learn new skills and contribute to our success. This is a full-time position.

Production Planner

GATEWORKS CORPORATION,is looking for a smart, motivated PRODUCTION PLANNER to support our manufacturing operations. This position has responsibility and ownership of the production scheduling process, control of operational parameters and production status communications, supporting manufacturing, procurement, engineering, and sales. Required qualifications include formal education in manufacturing and production processes. APICs training is preferred.

Duties include:

MASTER PLANNING

1.Be capable of translating the production plan into a time-phased build schedule.

2.Understand how to work with planning bills of material.

3.Understand the planning requirements for managing make-to-stock, make-to-order, assemble-to-order, and engineer-to-order manufacturing environments.

4.Understand the concept of forecast consumption by actual sales orders.

5.Establish policies for time fence management.

6.Have knowledge of performing cumulative lead time analysis.

7.Understand the mechanics of the master schedule calculation logic.

8.Understand the tasks in managing available-to-promise and capable-to promise portion of the master schedule.

9.Be capable of scheduling demand based on the product mix.

10.Understand the role of managing safety stock in the master schedule.

11.Manage schedule changes through system generated action messages.

12.Utilize the rough-cut capacity plan.

PRODUCTION PLANNING

1.Be capable of establishing a manufacturing planning department that consists of master scheduling, production planning, and open manufacturing order management.

2.Understand the sales and operations planning (S&OP) process.

3.Identify current planned level of demand and create tactical production plans to meet the identified customer demand.

4.Have knowledge of the various methods to establish and work with bills of material (BOMs).

5.Calculate production lead times and provide promise dates to sales.

6.Understand scheduling techniques utilizing forward scheduling and backward scheduling.

7.Have knowledge of techniques to manage infinite loading and finite loading, within ERP System (GW Track).

8.Have knowledge of how to manage load leveling and bottleneck scheduling.

9.Have knowledge of theory of constraints (TOC).

10.Analyze production floor status through input/output control reporting.

11.Effectively analyze whether inventories need to be maintained, increased, or decreased. 

12.Coordinate information with other functional staff, including sales, engineering, accounting, finance, marketing, and procurement.

13.Establish reporting to determine labor and productivity performance statistics.

14.Establish reporting to determine Capacity Management, Productivity Management, such as Utilization and Efficiency ratings.
